For Colombian citizens, the following regulations apply: Holders of national passports from countries that do not require a visa to enter Germany ("No" indication) are generally not allowed to stay in the country for more than 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa. Additionally, they are not permitted to take up employment during this period.

• Valid electronic or machine-readable passport with a validity of at least three additional months after the end of the stay.

• Return flight ticket with a maximum stay of 90 days.

• If staying privately with family or friends in the visited countries, you need an invitation letter from your relatives/friends. The invitation letter for Germany is an informal invitation letter with the signature of your relatives/friends. It should include the address and phone number, the family relationship, and the duration of the stay. It can be presented at border control as a scanned and printed copy (no original required, no notarization or apostille needed).

• If staying in a hotel, proof of room reservation.

• For business trips: if applicable, an invitation letter from the business partner including their address and phone number.

• Proof of sufficient financial means for the stay. Depending on the country and accommodation – hotel or private – this is estimated to be between 40 and 100 euros per day. For Germany, the amount is approximately 45 euros.

• We recommend health insurance to cover costs in case of accident or illness up to 30,000 euros.
